Inspect Your Trees This Winter For Structural Hazards

February 15, 2016

Now that the leaves are off the trees, it is a great time to have Mike’s Tree Company out to inspect for damage that may have occurred during the summer storms.

Cabling can reduce storm damage on structurally weak trees.

Many structural hazards can go unnoticed resulting in tree failure months, if not years down the road. Our Certified Arborists are trained to inspect all areas of the tree looking for broken, split, or dead branches. Cankers or decay in the trunk and weakly attached branches can also have an adverse effect on the longevity of trees.

If caught early, these hazards can be addressed before causing irreversible damage to the tree. Preventive measures such as support systems and pruning may be implemented to support weak branches, rather than removing them. Let Mike’s Tree Company assist you in preserving your trees by identifying any potential problems they may have.
